FEBW Marketing Intern

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)


Position Summary:

For Every Black Woman, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated intern to support our mission-driven work. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of nonprofit management, community outreach, and program development. This internship offers a valuable learning experience and the chance to contribute to the empowerment of Black women.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and website content.
  2. Social Media Management: Manage and update FEBW's social media accounts, including content scheduling, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments and messages.
  3. Market Research: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential target audiences.
  4. Email Marketing: Assist in creating and implementing email marketing campaigns, including designing templates, writing copy, and monitoring campaign performance.
  5. Graphic Design: Create visual content, such as social media graphics, infographics, and promotional materials using design software.
  6. Analytics: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing efforts using analytics tools, providing regular reports and insights.
  7. SEO Optimization: Help optimize FEBW's online presence by implementing SEO strategies, keyword research, and on-page optimization.
  8. Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting events, workshops, or webinars by coordinating logistics, creating promotional materials, and managing event registration.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure marketing efforts align with FEBW's mission and goals.
  10. Community Engagement: Engage with the FEBW community through social media, responding to comments and messages, and participating in conversations to build a strong online presence.
  11. Market Outreach: Support efforts to expand FEBW's reach by identifying potential partners, sponsors, or opportunities for collaboration.
  12. Website Management: Contribute to website updates, including adding new content, optimizing for performance, and ensuring a user-friendly experience.
  13. Analytics: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing efforts using analytics tools, providing regular reports and insights.
  14. Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyze feedback from marketing campaigns to help improve future strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program or recent graduate.
  • Strong passion for and commitment to the mission of For Every Black Woman, Inc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Time Commitment: 25 hours per week for the duration of the internship.


Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. However, we may work with educational institutions to provide academic credit if applicable.

FEBW Admin Intern

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)


Position Summary:

For Every Black Woman, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Administrative Intern to support our mission and daily operations. This intern will work closely with our team and play a crucial role in maintaining efficient administrative processes, data management, and communication within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Office Administration: Assist with general office tasks such as  managing emails, filing documents, and organizing office supplies.
  2. Data Entry and Management: Maintain and update databases, records, and donor information.
  3. Calendar Management: Help manage and coordinate schedules, appointments, and meetings.
  4. Correspondence: Draft, proofread, and edit business correspondence and reports.
  5. Event Support: Assist in the preparation and execution of FEBW events, workshops, and meetings.
  6. Communication: Provide support for communication efforts, including social media posts, newsletters, and website updates.
  7. Research: Conduct research on topics relevant to FEBW's mission and programs.
  8. Team Support: Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflows and support their specific tasks.
  9. Special Projects: Contribute to special projects and tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Passion for FEBW's mission and dedication to supporting Black women in the workplace.
